Ruch Pedagogiczny

“Ruch Pedagogiczny” has been published since 1912. On the Polish publishing market of pedagogical journals, it is therefore an exceptional achievement, embedded in the best intellectual traditions of Polish teaching. It is a scientific journal with a nationwide reach. Since 2017, “Ruch Pedagogiczny” has been published by the Warsaw School of Humanities named after B. Prus.

In accordance with the Communique of the Minister of Education and Science of December 1, 2021 on the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences, “Ruch Pedagogiczny” was included in the list of journals with the number of 70 points.

The primary goal of the journal is to exchange ideas and present the scientific achievements of Polish and foreign pedagogues, as well as to conduct discussions at the academic level on the most important contemporary educational issues. The columns of “Ruch Pedagogiczny” are intended to reflect the state of the scientific discipline of pedagogy, and also to be an arena for stimulating new directions of research, important from the point of view of social practice. The editorial office treats pedagogy as a field of science dealing with the study of broadly understood educational processes and as an open discipline of interdisciplinary nature. 

The editorial office cooperates internationally with many outstanding scholars, which not only helps to popularize Polish pedagogy abroad, but also contributes to the knowledge of the pedagogical achievements of scholars from other European and non-European countries. We encourage authors who wish to present new issues, original approaches, or controversial views on broadly understood pedagogy to cooperate with us. The journal is open to both authors with an established scientific position and to beginners in pedagogy. The studies sent to the Editorial Office may contain not only the results of empirical research and methodological considerations, but also opinions different from those commonly shared, which will inspire a broader discussion and contribute to the development of pedagogical knowledge. 

The journal has a broad thematic profile, and the texts published in it are reviewed by two independent reviewers, which allows maintaining a high scientific level of the submitted materials. The basic sections of the journal are: articles in Polish, but also in foreign languages ​​(with extensive summaries in Polish), research reports, studies and opinions, materials for teachers, materials for students, profiles of outstanding pedagogues and reviews. Texts published in “Ruch Pedagogiczny” contain summaries in English.

“Ruch Pedagogiczny” is aimed at people interested in education in the broad sense, and above all at academic teachers and students, not only of pedagogy but also of various other areas of the humanities.

“Ruch Pedagogiczny” is listed on the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH). 

Submitted texts, in accordance with the requirements of the Editorial Office of “Ruch Pedagogiczny”, are reviewed by reviewers anonymously, without identifying the author of the text, in accordance with the double blind review procedure.
